Logo Design

Energy Shift Institute is a think tank, a nonprofit institution that does research to advance the energy transition in Asia. The think tank also disseminates and discusses the research ideas with financial players, governments and companies that need to transition quickly. This is in the effort to ensure key stakeholders do their job to help minimise climate issues and that Asia as a region becomes a leader in the global climate discussions.

 

The Institute asked for a logo which would represent the company and its work. They asked for a modern and minimalistic design, something that would give people confidence and trust in their recommendations and research. 

 

The design of the logo aims to give the feeling of transformation in a dynamic way. Both shape and pattern change towards the name of the company: the pattern starts as a round shape with a coloured composition and shifts towards a square shape with a simpler line composition. The transformation from round to square and the change in colors, symbolizes the impact that the company can have in advancing energy transition, the SHIFT which is embedded in the name of the company.
