As an artist Marta likes to experience different medium: watercolour, colour pencil, chiaroscuro, ink on paper, acrylic on canvas, and digital art.

 

She always searches for a meaning in her work, something to express and to share with others. She likes contrasts in colors and strong chiaroscuro effects. “Light is very important in my works. How it reflects on different materials, how it creates dark shadows against bright highlights and how it bounces between surfaces”.

 

Her process is influenced by her technical background as an architect. “I take inspiration from everything that surrounds me. I take notes, I write down feelings, ideas, and concepts that I can develop any time later. Before touching the canvas with a brush, I already know what I want to achieve, I have a clear idea in my mind. Sometimes the inspiration brings the idea, sometimes I have an idea and I search inspiration for it”.
