Posterheroes

Posterheroes is an international design contest about social design and social communication asking to the international creative community to express powerful messages through a poster 70×100 cm about social and environmental issues. The edition of 2023 was called “Beautifully diverse”

Artists and designers all around the world were invited to use their creativity to transcend the normal and embrace the beauty of diversity.

 

The brief: in a world where inequalities are constantly increasing, strengthening cooperation and educating solidarity and empathy to recognize the value and dignity of each individual, regardless of ability or characteristics, is more important than ever. Through collective action, promoting a narrative of disability that is neither positive nor negative but a simple expression of the diversity that characterises humanity is therefore necessary.

The work, with the title "Label-free society - beautiful diverse humanity" represents the moment in which people will be free of any kind of labels and be free to express themselves being proud of who they are. A new society where nobody needs to fit in a specific category, and where everybody will be accepted, respected and admired for their real self in a beautiful, diverse humanity.

The artwork was selected together with 12 others, among 2176 participants from all around the world.
